Tech M&A activity in Australia and New Zealand in 2025 (228 deals) set a new 10-year record. Demand was strong from both strategic and financial buyers, with PE firms involved in 32% of the deals. Disclosed deal value through Q3 was $7.2B. However, only 22% of the deals disclosed transaction values, as buyers kept their M&A strategies private. 

The Industry-Specific Applications subsector led in volume with 50 deals, followed by the IT Services subsector (41 deals) and the Internet Content & Commerce subsector (33).
